How does Reiki work

We are alive because life force is flowing through us. Life force flows within the physical body and around us in a field of energy sometimes called our magnetic field or bioenergetic field.

Life force nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions. As we go through life we place demands on this energy field.  When this flow of energy or life force is disrupted, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body.  During a Reiki treatment this magnetic energy field re-energises.  Reiki restores the natural balance of the body, providing deep relaxation and bringing a sense of peace and well-being.

The Reiki Practitioner has been professionally trained to use Reiki.  Reiki can accelerate the healing process and complements the healing properties of all modalities including traditional medicine and other natural therapies.

It is important that Reiki is not used in lieu of traditional medicine or seen as something to replace conventional medicine.
